Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for big data applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and data science, to understand project requirements and provide input on quality assurance processes.
- Utilize advanced testing methodologies and big data tools to conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools while ensuring timely resolution.
- Implement and advocate for automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Review and contribute to technical specifications, design documents, and other project artifacts to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior QA team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to help shape our QA strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on big data analytics.
- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven experience in creating and executing automated test scripts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
